This is the 2nd of a series of 4 PDF-format tutorials giving instructions for creating polymer clay tiles using 5 different surface techniques using rubber stamps.
This technique
uses a rubber stamp in the traditional paper crafting method of inking and
stamping. But in this case we are
stamping on clay. What is special about
this technique is the use of a texture which results in a beautiful subtle
fabric-like surface with just a touch of shine. It’s a truly unique effect.
A tile
consists of 3 layers – the decorative 1st layer and the back layers
2 and 3, which provide the channel for the cording. The tutorial is sold as 2 PDF documents – the
first is “The Basics” document which details the tile construction portion
(layers 2 & 3) as well as extras such as “Creating a trim”, “Creating an
Inverse texture sheet” and “Sample Tile Templates”. The second document covers
the surface technique (layer 1). Together the 2 documents total 11 pages and 20
images at a cost of $4.00 CAD.
